FAQ
What exactly is a "server"?
A server is one Otto hub installation — typically one home, apartment, or building. If you manage two homes, that's two servers.
Does every user need to pay?
Only users who need remote access from outside the local network. A family of 4 who all want remote access on the same server would pay 4 × €5/month = €20/month (annual plan).
Can I use Otto without a subscription?
Yes — Otto is fully functional without any subscription. Remote access is the only paid feature. Everything else (automations, AI, NVR, personal cloud) works completely on your local network for free.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA direct debit for EU customers. Annual plans can also be paid by bank transfer. Invoices include VAT where applicable.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard at any time. For annual plans, access continues until the end of the paid period — no refunds on remaining months.
Is there a trial?
New accounts get a 14-day free trial of remote access. No credit card required.
